Engelska ordet "collop" kan på svenska översättas med "köttskiva eller köttbit till stuvning" - (en motsvarighet till franskans "escalope"). Scotch collops , en skotsk kalops, har vad jag kan se inte mycket gemensamt med en svensk kalops.
Collops are slices of meat. The term derives from the French escalope.
In Elizabethan times, "collops" came to refer specifically to slices of bacon.
